Out of 31 start-up projects, b.fab was selected as the best start-up (1. Prize) in the business plan competition KUER.NRW. The final and winners announcement was celebrated during the Summit Umweltwirtschaft in Messe Essen. Minister Mrs. Ursula Heinen-Esser of the Ministry for Environment, Agriculture, Conservation and Consumer Protection of NRW handed over the prices to the winner teams during the ceremony. The 2. Prize went to EnergyCortex GmbH (Aachen) and the 3. Prize to Okeanos (Bochum).
KUER.NRW (Climate, Environment, Energy and Conservation of Resources) is the only industry specific business plan competition dedicated to environmental technologies (greentech, cleantech) in Germany. During the competition the teams were trained by experienced coaches in pitch presentations, finances and preparation of a meaningful business plan. In addition, the competition was accompanied by industry specific mentors who helped the start-up teams to network with the industry.
